More Free Ebooks

I wanted to open up a post welcoming freshly published ebook authors on Amazon. I know how difficult it can be to get the word out if you are new to the market. So CALLING ALL THE NEWLY PUBLISHED: Please feel free to leave a short, attention grabbing description of your book, the link and let us know how long your free promo will last!

(and don't forget to go grab mine, Clinically F*cked: The Early Years before the free promotion ends on Monday at midnight!)

So Far, So Good

It's now been a just a little over 24 hours since I posted Clinically F*cked: The Early Years with Amazon for Kindle and I wanted to say thank you to the nearly 500 downloads of the book already. The book is already reaching it's way into the Top 100 Best Sellers and is at the top of the charts for it's genre.

The free ebook promotion on Clinically F*cked is still on. The last day that you will have to down load it for free will be on Monday. After that it will only be free for Amazon Prime Members in the Lending Library but can be otherwise purchased for $2.99.

My biggest stress and worry about publishing this book wasn't about it's success or failure at all. It was worry for my mother. In the book I am very honest, descriptive and shared things that have happened to me that I have never told her. Avoiding her because of all of this, I didn't even tell her that the book was up and live on Amazon. You know that feeling you get in your gut that just won't go away when you think you've done something horrible to someone you love? Yeah, that was me and I was a wreck inside.

I finally called her yesterday and spilled the beans. I let her know that it was up and doing very well. She was so happy and ready to jump on the computer and download it as she was on the phone with me. I was horrified and told her no and of course she wanted to know why. The whole process of the book, she knew what I was writing about. She knew that it was about the abuse that I went through and all the events in between and afterward. As a matter of fact, she is the one that pushed the most that I write it all down and share it.

After about an hour on the phone, I've convinced her NOT to read it. The troubled times of my youth were hard enough on her while they were happening. She doesn't need to relive it and in such gross detail. I NEVER want my mother to know all the tiny details just as if it were my daughter (God forbid any EVER happens to her). I love my mom and that she has encouraged me to do this but as I told her, I wrote this book for me and for others like me needing to escape the feeling of being alone in the "dark." I didn't write it to cause more pain and misery.

With that said, I again thank all of you for reading, downloading and sharing Clinically F*cked: The Early Years and hope you continue to do so. The next volume is still in the works and should be up *hopefully* by the end of this month (and will also be a free ebook for it's first 5 day debut).

Clinically F*cked: The Early Years

I have finally dove in and left my better judgement behind. Today my book Clinically F*cked: The Early Years went live in the Amazon Kindle Book Store.

Inside, you will get to read about a little girl who didn't have a chance. Molested by her father before the age of three and then sent to multiple foster homes where she is to be safe. That isn't the case and instead is left to fend for herself, lay in her own urine for days and suffer beatings from a raging alcoholic who is not her father.

This is a story of survival. It is my story of survival. Secrets are told and revealed that I've never shared before. Fear is all consuming when you are left only knowing the role of a victim. This little girl has grown up and she's not scared anymore.

For the next 5 days, if you have an Amazon Prime Membership, the book is available for free download via the Lending Library. If not, the book is only $2.99 and I have made sure that the book is eligible for lending if purchased.

Unfinished Tales

This is a book that I haven't seen too often in used book stores or with major book retailers. When I got my hands on it, I almost had a hard time putting up in the book store.

For fans of Tolkien and his mythology, this is an indispensable work. Unfinished Tales provides incredible details about many aspects of The Lord of the Rings, such as the hunt for the One Ring and how the Ringwraiths got to the Shire. There is also a history of Galadriel and Celeborn, a full account of Tuor’s journey to Gondolin, the history of the Wizards, and the history of the long friendship between Gondor and Rohan, as told in “Cirion and Eorl”. All readers of Tolkien must read this collection if they are going to understand Middle-earth and its history and people.

One can read this book as a companion to The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, or The Hobbit, but it can also be read on its own. There are notes from Christopher Tolkien which explain the progress of each story, and the different versions of them.

It's Been a While

I know it's been a while, but the Dark Rose Book Store is still up in full swing with lots of new inventory. Like many others, I took the opportunity to donate to breast cancer and purchases a mother load of great books. Also I was so lucky to have been given a shelf worth of DVDs that are somewhat newer than the ones I had previously posted and in near perfect condition.

V.C. Andrews fans, I found some new ones that I haven't had in my collection before as well as some new Marry Higgins Clark novels. The store now has nearly 1,500 items at great low prices. Check out what we have so I can ship them to you ASAP.

Remember, if you have any questions or are looking for a book that I don't have in the store, let me know and chances are I can find it for you at a great price.
